We are aware of the issue where the NBT Attestation checkbox at the Usage and Production screen in the portal is not displaying for oversized SNBT/SNBT-PS applications. As a temporary workaround and to avoid deficiency notices, please do not utilize the "Esign Now" and "Esign Later" options at the Agreement and Authorization (AA) screen, instead select "Upload a signed document". At the Documents screen, please upload the applicable manually filled AA. SNEM:NBT - SNEM-PS:NBT.
Pursuant to California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) Decision (“D”) 14-05-033 Ordering Paragraph (“OP”) 4, D.19-01-030 OP 3, and D.20-06-017 OP 6, any NEM/NBT-eligible generating facility storage system that exceeds 10 kW and surpasses 150% of the NEM generator’s maximum capacity (kW) will no longer be waived effective August 16, 2025. NEM/NBT eligible Generating Facilities with oversized storage must now interconnect according to all requirements under Special Condition 4 (Multiple Tariff Facilities provisions) of the NEM, NEM2, or NBT Tariff. On August 14, 2025, the CPUC authorized an extension of the oversized storage cap to 30 calendar days following the approval or rejection of CALSSA’s Petition for Modification (PFM). This extension is applicable to PG&E, SCE, and SDGE. As the CALSSA PFM has not yet been decided, the cap limit remains suspended until further notice.
